It's another Monday. Emma is off to daycare and Mckinley is home with his Grandparents. I love the fact that his grandparents are watching him. If I can't be there, I know they will treat him and spoil him even better than I do! Every day before we leave, Emma says to which ever Grandparent that is at the house, "You stay here with brother, I'm going to Corie's". She gives a kiss and hug and makes sure that she closes the door before she goes. How did she get so big and learn all this stuff? It feels like I just woke up with her getting older by the minute!
Mckinley is doing good, heart failure is showing much sooner than anyone thought it would but the doctors are on top of it and he's not having any ill effects from all the medications. We'll find out this week when his surgery date will be. Scary, but I can't wait to get beyond this so he can get fat, fat, fat! At only 8 pounds at 2 months he still has chicken legs. While Brian keeps telling me to stop comparing the kids - it's hard not to recognize the differences.
The worrying has been tough on me and Brian. It's always there in the back of our minds. I'd have to say if I lean on Brian a bit more it might be easier. He considers me his rock and vice versa. I don't know what I'd do without his strength.
They've told us we can stay at the Ronald McDonald house when he has his surgery. I hope Emma can stay with us or we will probably take turns staying up there. Our pediatrician and the Cardiologist have been great and very proactive in regards to his treatment. I can't ask for better doctor's.
