Oh boy, the day is only 2 days away! The cardiologist's office called and brought his surgery date to Thursday. Oh, God I am so terrified for my son! There are so many thoughts going through my head. God will take care of him, but that's my job! Please say all the prayers you can we really need them on Thursday. Pray for Mckinley, but also for the surgeon's hands, the nurse's help and all those who will help my boy be strong.
Thanks everyone for getting us to this point. We truly need and love the support you have given us. It will carry us through.
We're going to get a christmas tree with Emma tomorrow morning and go to his pre-surgery appointment in the afternoon. Hopefully the tree will be decorated by the time we get home from his appointment. We'll have to take the ornaments down tomorrow morning for Emma to look at.
Gosh, thinking of Christmas, it may be a very light one - I haven't shopped for even one present! Ah well, better late than never!
Emma is calling me to watch Barbie so I must go!

THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL IS SHINING AND SOON YOU WILL BE ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THIS NIGHTMARE..AND HE WILL BE GOOD TO GO. Oh, My Dear Ones, you are so much in our prayers. We are actually glad to see the operation has been moved up. Get this thing over so Mckinley can start growing and doing all the things he wants to do. I am sure God has put him in His hands and will be with him as he goes through this. I believe therte would be no better place for Mckinley to have his surgery than right here at STrong.

Brian and Vicki....you and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. I know as a Mom and Dad the thought of your child enduring any kind of pain or struggle just tears at your heart and makes you so afraid and worried but keep your faith strong. God will carry you through and he will carry Mckinley through this surgery that he must endure. I'll watch for an update from Smidge.

The surgery is almost here and we are all praying that God will look after everyone involved with the surgery and especially for Mckinley. I agree with Aunt Smidge children are very resilant and Emma will go along with the flow of everything and she will enjoy the season because she has such wonderful love and support from her family and extended family! We wish we could be there to help but just know that we are thinking and praying for you everyday. God bless you and keep you in his loving thoughts everyday.
