Little Mckinley is certainly being tested for his strength! We have a week to get his weight up or they will consider putting in a feeding tube. We also resized his bottle nipples in hopes that would help too. Wonders of wonders, he ate 14 oz yesterday before I got home! Yippee! This should bring him up fast I hope. This poor kid will have seen the inside of hospitals in his little life more than I have in 36 years. God doesn't give us more than we can handle, I just want a little less of a challenge.
He's smiling and happy and in great spirits, must be because he doesn't have to work as hard. Grandma and Nana (My mother and grandmother) were so excited to see him eat so much and they say he's so much more stimulated. He loves to kick and raise his hands and you know that he just loves all the attention he receives!
Nana loves to have him learn new things, like sticking his tongue at Mom and Dad. It's wonderful for me that my Grandmother is here to share in his first moments. It sure makes it special when I know that he will get the same fun and attention I received when I was a kid.
Not to say that each of his Grandparents aren't special, they all give him their love and special attention.
Till next week
Vicki
