I can't believe the weekend is over! It was short, but eventful! Poor Mckinley's cold went to his chest so I'm heading into the doctor's this morning. Emma's thrilled she has me and Grandma to impress this morning. She's running through all the rooms getting good and tired!
Well, the cardiologist's office called Friday and let me know that they are trying to push the surgery back to December so that he gains as much weight as possible. While I'm glad I know they aren't putting it off any longer, it's still 2 months away. Two more months to worry and wonder. I know his doctors are doing their best, which is what holds all this together.
Brian and I are both worried but God will take care of Mckinley and get him strong enough to go through the surgery.
I can't believe how much I got done this morning, 2 loads of laundry and dinner in the crockpot! We all know that I'm not that organized in the morning so it's such a big feat for me! Brian will be thrilled to see dinner on when he gets home.
We stayed home all weekend and took care of a lot of stuff. I don't think I've been able to do more than run through the upstairs and I actually got to bring up the vaccuum cleaner and start sorting out Emm'a summer clothes. The air conditioner's are out of the windows and atleast some of the windows are clean. I'm sure Brian didn't think staying home all weekend to clean was great, especially when he stayed home to watch the Bills game (Go Bills!), but it felt great to get some stuff taken care of. I just wish I could say that most weekends were that productive!

See you soon

Hey guys - you both are remarkable parents and your courage and faith in the face of this scary situation is amazing. Mc will come out ot his just fine: soon he'll be a roly poly, chubby, healthy, on the go little guy: but the getting to it has to be wearing you down so much. I know the Grandmas are glad to be of help..and I am sure they go beyond just spoiling your adorable Mckinley (and Emma when she is home- she is such a doll-so full of personality!) Please know we are here and let us know what we can do to help out. It is good you are getting things done around the house. I, on the other hand, am not! What is my excuse? Laziness? Yep - works for me.Take care, dear hearts - you all are ever in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all. I know He holds Mc in the palm of His healing hand. Hang in there. Love and hugs, Aunt Smidge

Vicki, you and Brian have such faith and good sense. It isn't an accident that you are older parents. You could not have faced this half as well as a "youngster' parent. Half the people in and around Warsaw are praying for Mackie. The Global Reiki healing group is Reiki-ing him daily as well as you all.

You have done such a wonderful job with Emma. She is sweet, kind, busy and FAST. She has a sweet personality and great confidence in herself and those around her.

Mackie is such an incredible little boy. He has such a sweet nature and smiles so much. He is laid back. After the surgery this little boy will give you a run for your money. As busy as Emma is, a boy is BUSIER.

Enjoy it all. You are such wonderful parents. You make us proud.
