12/15
I can't believe that time is just flying by. It's been one week since we left the hospital with a brand new baby. What a whirlwind! We're so glad this is behind us and McKinley can be a normal baby, kicking and fussing and laughing. Yep, he's been doing all those things!
Emma has been home this whole week with us. What a treat for me, one that I will never get again so I'm savoring every second. Take yesterday for example, I decided that Emma was old enough to help me with Christmas cookies. Emma is quite the helper and always willing to give her all. I had to stop in the middle of making cookies to feed McKinley, when I came back Emma was still helping me in the kitchen. My jaw dropped! Just picture this, Emma standing on the kitchen chair and white all around her. I don't mean she helped me in covering the table with flour, I mean she had flour all over her, the table, the dogs and all over the floor! Oh, what a mess! In the end after a few tears and a few fits we got the cookies made. Brian came home and thought a war had happened. It probably did, the will of a two year old is strong!
Brian is feeling better now, but he contracted a sinus infection. I swear the man is having one of those months! Thank god for good medication!
