12/15
We've been so fortunate with our friends and families both near and far. We're so thankful for all that you have done, in person, in thought and prayer and in deed. To my sister, Heather for bringing Emma up to us every single night for a week. To Sean, (Brian's brother) for stopping up everyday to make sure everything was going well. To our parents for being our rocks in the storm. For our friends for letting us vent and letting us call at all times for a chat. To Sharon and Larry for your late night brainstorming, and to Smidge and Bob who made it happen. How do we thank you? You will never know quite how much it meant to both of us to have you near. We love you so much!
To all the people involved in McKinley's tree of love. I spent days trying to think of a proper thank you, but in the end I really can't come up with eloquent words that could describe the absolute awe we still hold. Thank you is such a small word, but it's meaning is so big. From a toddler, it means the world. From two scared parents? It means the universe. You've seen the pictures, so you've seen us crying and stunned. We knew you were all thinking of us and praying for the best and I'm sure that the power of prayer helped McKinley. He has such will to live and such a great attitude towards everyone. In the hospital, while still attached to all those blasted machines he still had smiles for his nurses. And boy, did they love him! This little boy who is so tiny had them laughing and crying. In the end, the only words that I can think of is thank you. God gave us our family to keep us close and our friends to keep us together. Thank you friends for you love and support.
Love
Vicki and Brian
