12/24
Oh boy, 1 day until Christmas! I don't know who is more excited, Emma or myself! Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. What a wonderful year! We couldn't be any more blessed than we are now. The kids are doing great, I have a wonderful husband and lots of pets to keep me in love and affection. We have lots of friends and family near and far. We hope that your holiday is just as wonderful as ours.
Leah, one of my dearest friends contacted me this past week. We did our usual chatting but she called with a purpose. Leah said with all that you told me about how wonderful the Ronald McDonald house was and how much you really needed it, I decided to do something. She and her friends at work decided that instead of exchanging gifts that they would instead donate needed items to the Ronald McDonald house. In fact, she was calling me right after she left there with all the packages to them! What could fill my heart more than knowing some other family will get the same kind of love and attention we received?
Leah, I always knew what a beautiful person you are - it shows in everything you do.

My mother later told me that our church, Covington Presbytarian also sent a donation to the Ronald McDonald house. This is the church that I grew up in, got married in and both kids have been baptised at. It's a lovely church, but the people in it are even more special.

Whether it's big or little, miracles come in all sizes and shapes. Hope you and yours have a special christmas and know that we are thinking of you.
