12/1
What a great day! McKinley is doing great! The surgery corrected both holes and we are looking at a beautiful baby that will just grow and grow! I can't tell you how our hearts lifted when the doctor came in and told us everything went great. These were happy tears this time.

I'm here at the Ronald McDonald House within the Hospital. What a great place for families. They think of everything. Do you know they run on donations? If you're thinking of a place this year to donate to, please don't forget the Ronald Mcdonald house, it's helped this Mom be closer to her baby! I'm not sure what I would have done if I hadn't been able to just run down to the next floor.
Our families came to share the wait with us. I'm beginning to think that Brian is a whole lot more calm than I am (at least outwardly) I'm pacing and wearing a hole in the floor and he's calmy talking. It was tough being with McKinley just before they took him to surgery. I wanted to run and hide with him and Brian had to talk me out of it. who wants their baby in pain? To see them walk out with my baby in their hands was almost too much.
Poor Brian went home with Emma screaming for Momma the whole way home. He might have a considerably tough day ahead. Hope to have Emma stay with us at the other house, maybe make an adventure of it. I sure do miss tucking her in at night. But I know Daddy is taking good care of his little girl.

Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers. I will continue to give you updates through these long days and let you know what's happening with all of us.

hi dear hearts, as I emailed to you we here, like all others, were crying tears of complete joy - didn't matter that I was in the bank or Shelly was in Walmart. Bob and rhob and I and all who have emailed or called - my brother has called twice..rejoice with you and your loved ones! We cannot wait to see your beautiful and healthy son! or you guys and Emma.i know it had to be awful leaving him yesterday and her, too, but the good news is that neither of the kids will remember these days. Of course you and Brian will never forget them! God is surely in His heaven. He heard all the prayer flowing upward about your precious son and He has given us all another wondrous Christmas miracle! Thanks for the update..consider yourself and your beautiful family hugged-til we can do it for ourselves..we would be happy to come and visit with you when you have times you can't be with Mc. and then of course more than happy when we can finally visit him, too..let us know if we can help out at home with anything or with Emma. You know we all love you guys..so much!
